Who is Elia Fulmen?

The name of our company was inspired by Athena. She was the goddess of wisdom, courage, civilization, law, justice, the arts, strategy, math, warfare, and more. Yep. Impressive.

elia — n. (Greek) “olive”

As Athena conquered ancient cities she planted olive trees in her wake as offerings of peace, protection, and economic prosperity.

fulmen — n. (Latin) “lightning bolt”

Athena was lauded for her savvy use of power. In turn, she was granted exclusive use of Zeus’ coveted lightning bolts. She used them to conquer the world.

FAQs

How do I attach my charm?

We designed our charms to spin on and off the link rings with ease. Why? We want women to proudly wear their mantras and values but also share or trade them others who inspire them.

To attach a charm, thread the open end of the spiral through a link ring and move the ring along the spiral until it reaches the top. To remove, gently move the link ring off of the spiral until it reaches the open end.  Each link ring is designed to hold one charm. Once attached we recommend sliding the clear plastic guard onto the end of the spiral to hold the charm into place.

What does the jewelry have to do with empowerment?

Everything. Empowerment research and theory inspired us to create the jewelry as a way to spark Intrapersonal Empowerment and Interactional Empowerment. We explain more here

What is Elia Fulmen jewelry made of?

The good stuff. Sterling silver and 14k gold. Our jewelry is gold vermeil (not to be confused with gold plated) and per industry standards we coat sterling silver with a thick layer of 14k gold. Ho-hum gold plating is not subject to any material or gold thickness standards and often loses its finish from everyday wear.

Can I return or exchange my order?

Unworn jewelry in the original packaging can be returned or exchanged within 30 days from the date of delivery. Email us at returns@eliafulmen.com and we'll help make it happen.

How do I take care of my jewelry?

When you're not wearing it, keep it in the suede pouch. Gold vermeil should be kept away from water and sweat. We recommend removing your jewelry before showering, swimming or working out.
